Testimonials
“I have been doing Pilates now with Sarah for a number of years and I’m totally addicted. Thanks to Sarah’s lessons which readily adapt to individual needs I’ve have achieved more than I ever could have expected. She allows each of us to go at our own pace and respects our individual limits. I have learnt to improve posture which in turn has helped to strengthen back muscles and rid me of chronic backache. The lessons are also perfect for releasing those pent up tensions and I always come away feeling invigorated.
Sarah is a wonderful teacher and the lessons are a real pleasure.
Can’t thank you enough."

"Sarah has a calm, detailed and focused method of instruction, her Pilates class is always different and I always learn something new and after her class I leave feeling a few inches taller and straighter- and with a big smile! I have gained enormous benefit, mental and physical, from her instruction. Sarah is always ready to provide individual attention and feedback. The general atmosphere of her classes is convivial. She inspires confidence in her students and makes them feel at ease. She is an excellent teacher and the consummate professional. The warmth that radiates from her makes it a pleasure to be one of her students."

"I have been coming to Sarah's Pilates classes for a number of years now and it has always been with great pleasure and motivation. Indeed I have found through the practice of Pilates the harmonious balance in reinforcing and toning up my muscles, my body structure as well as taking into account the quality of the gestures, the breathing exercises, and the balance between mind and body. As I work in Sophrolology, I strongly recommend the practice of Pilates, as a perfect training leading to a personal balance between body and mindfulness. I warmly thank Sarah for her professionalism, her kindness, her quality of presence during the classes, her attention and deep respect towards the person. For all that, thank you so much Sarah."

"OK, I admit it, I initially started Pilates due to pressure from SWMBO! Once pushed, I set myself the target of getting some exercise, regaining some flexibility and above all finding a way to relax. Two years of Pilates lessons following Sarah’s patient, good humoured style has taken me a long way to my goals. I am always amazed that Sarah manages to find so many new exercises and this variation of class content has been a driver in maintaining my interest over this time.
So what's so interesting about Pilates for men? First of all, I like the emphasis on precise control and fluidity in movement. To this I can add that the core strength seems to be summarised by a significantly improvement in the “3-b's” (back, belly and butt). The benefits don't stop there as the focus on breathing leaves me feeling more energized, relaxed and certainly less stressed-out."

"I have been doing Pilates with Sarah for a number of years now and would recommend it as an activity for all ages and levels of physical ability (even if you have never been sporty you can do this). As a "lady of a certain age" I'm able to cope with all the exercises. Sarah always tells us; "listen to your body and adjust the exercise accordingly".
The medical fraternity are very pleased, when you go to see them about your aches and pains and bits heading south!, to hear that you do Pilates and encourage you to continue.
Apart from all the benefits to body and mind, Sarah's a great teacher. So come and try it for yourself."

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the help your classes have given me, particularly with my back & more generally with my posture & mobility.
I have suffered from recurrent severe episodes of back pain for many years & have not had a crisis since starting Pilates, a year ago. My movements are more fluid, I feel less stiff, and I have even gained an inch in height!
The classes are congenial & push you gently without strain or exhaustion.
Once again, many thanks and keep up the good work"

“I joined Sarah's Pilates class just over a year ago and was concerned that I would find it too difficult, however I do manage to keep up and feel I have benefitted greatly from the lessons in the way of fitness and well-being. Sarah managed the levels in the class very well."

“I discovered Pilates three years ago and it has become part of my life. I have osteoarthritis and a replacement hip and Pilates keeps me mobile. It's also improved my balance, an important factor as you get older. Incidentally I turned 70 this year so Pilates is not just for the young and fit. In fact, if you're not young and fit you should definitely be doing Pilates! Sarah Johnson is an inspirational teacher and coach. She encourages you, gently, to go that bit further and realise your full potential and is unfailingly supportive. You can come along for a trial class - but be warned - you could get hooked!!”
Barbara
“Pilates is the only organised exercise I have managed to keep up over the years and I think it's because I really feel the benefit - it gives me a sense of strength, being ‘stretched out' and well-being - and Sarah is an excellent, encouraging and sympathetic teacher”
Helen
“Classes are always interesting and slightly different each week so that I feel I never lose interest. I have noticed a real difference in my general well being."
Jackie
“I enjoy the classes and after a year my shape has changed enough to wear jeans that haven’t been out of the wardrobe for years!"
