The Pilates method of body conditioning is excellent for people of all ages and levels of physical ability. The precise controlled flowing movements are designed to strengthen the ‘core’ muscles that stabilise and support the spine, realign the body and correct postural problems.
Pilates brings mind and body together, focussing strongly on total concentration, control, balance, precision and breathing.
Pilates - all levels
This is a class for everyone. It is suitable for beginners, but at the same time, those with more experience can work at a higher level.
Pilates - with the Swissball
The Swiss Ball is excellent for Pilates. It promotes harmony between the body and mind. It may be used to introduce all the principles of Pilates:
Pilates - Intermediate/Advanced level
This will be a more challenging class, at a slightly quicker pace, introducing some more advanced exercises and working at higher levels of existing exercises. In this group you will be expected to be familiar with all the current exercises and have no neck or back problems.
Pilates for golfers ( taught in English)
A 6 or 7 week course for golfers, based on the Pilates method to help improve the swing. In this course you will gain more strength, flexibility and mobility, you will thus be more consistent in your shots, achieve more distance and precision with your drives, in addition to reducing you risk of injury and back pain.
This programme emphasises exercises that relate to the golf swing, including Pilates exercises that have been modified for the golfer in order to allow you to achieve the best results with the least pain.
This course is equally aimed at men and women, from beginners to those with more experience, the class is taught in English.
