Class Descriptions*

Pilates
The Pilates method of body conditioning is excellent for people of all ages and levels of physical ability. The precise controlled flowing movements are designed to strengthen the ‘core’ muscles that stabilise and support the spine, realign the body and correct postural problems. 
Pilates brings mind and body together, focussing strongly on total concentration, control, balance, precision and breathing.

Pilates - all levels
This is a class for everyone. It is suitable for beginners, but at the same time, those with more experience can work at a higher level.

Pilates - with the Swissball
The Swiss Ball takes Pilates to a new level. For the new participant it introduces all the fundamental principles of Pilates such as breathing, alignment, centering and focusing the mind. For the experienced mat work participant it adds new challenges to all the classical Pilates exercises.

Pilates - Intermediate/Advanced level
This will be a more challenging class, at a slightly quicker pace, introducing some more advanced exercises and working at higher levels of existing exercises. In this group you will be expected to be familiar with all the current exercises and have no neck or back problems.

​Pilates – all levels - gentle pace (Thursday 10h30 – 11h25)
This is a class suitable for everyone, beginners and also those with more experience, but at a gentler pace. Furthermore, there will be additional exercises for healthy bones. 

Pilates for golfers
A 6-week course for golfers based on the Pilates method to help improve the swing. In this course you will gain more strength, flexibility and mobility, you will thus be more consistent in your shots, more distance and straighter with your drives, in addition to reducing you risk of injury and back pain.
 
This programme emphasises exercises that relate to the golf swing, including Pilates exercises that have been modified for the golfer in order to allow you to achieve the best results with the least pain.
 
This course is equally aimed at beginners and those with more experience, men and women.

*From September 2020, for hygiene purposes, it will be necessary to provide your own mat, as well as a stretch band, a small ball and a Magic Circle, for more information, please contact me.
